Lively Deals Express Recipes ~ Zesty Baked Flounder

Freshly caught flounder bakes into a white, mild fish that flakes with a fork.  Add some butter, lemon juice and spices and you’ll serve a delicious dish every time!

Get your ingredients together.

  • 2 pounds Chesapeake Crab Connection’s Wild Caught Flounder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbs fresh lemon juice
  • 4 tbs unsalted butter
  • 3 tbs finely mince onions
  • 2 tsp Old Bay
  • 1 orange
  • 6-7 mini red peppers

Get Cooking.

1/ Defrost your fillets in the fridge overnight. 2/ Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. 3/ Arrange 2 pounds of flounder on foil and sprinkle with salt and pepper “to taste preferences.” 4/ In a small bowl, mix butter, lemon juice, and onions. 5/ Pour juices over the fillets and position a sliced orange and pepper on each fillet. Sprinkle with Old Bay “to taste preferences.” 6/Close the foil over the fish and seal the edges.  Bake the fish for 15 minutes on an oven rack.  7/Promptly remove and serve with a butternut squash and garden salad. Bon Appetit!
