On an early day in February in the year 1990, I went down
to a waterman's workplace at Bowen's Dock in Annapolis, Maryland.
Here I was introduced to quite a crew of seafaring salts.
Sitting down and attempting to lend a hand in straightening
out a group of heavily worked crab pots I discovered, through
mysterious smiles and stories, the joy of earning a living
from the waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
"Chesapeake" is an Indian word meaning body of life. Amazed that adventure in the wild could actually provide a living stirred my imagination. Boats, storms, sun soaked days, hundreds of thousands of miles traveled, three crab houses and over a decade later, here we are !!! Chesapeake Crab Connection Co.; a bunch of good spirited seafarers that can share countless stories of the adventures we've encountered. Our main goal is to provide fans of the sea the absolute best it has to offer. From our boats to your table, truly the finest around. Jim Norton |
